Our Why
At Campus Bound, our “why” is clear: the opportunity to make a lasting, positive difference for students facing a complex college admissions process and for families seeking to make college costs more manageable. Our team of college coaches is singularly committed to your success in this college planning process and beyond.
Our support is designed to make this challenging process more effective, helping teenagers to pursue their college goals.
Who We Are
Regardless of how you refer to them – independent educational consultants, college coaches, college consultants, or college advisors – our college counselors have extensive experience. We are former college admissions officers, high school counselors and college financial aid officers. Some of us have also had the opportunity to experience the college planning process as parents. We understand the stress this process can bring to both students and parents. We know when students should dig deeper, when it is time to move forward with confidence, and when to take a moment and celebrate students’ many accomplishments.
Who We Serve
Our students come from across the country, from Massachusetts to California, Alaska to Florida, and overseas, too. They matriculate at colleges all over North America and even Europe. They are unique, yet they all have dreams, goals—and a shared desire to “get it right” when choosing a college.
Over the past 20+ years, the Campus Bound team has successfully supported close to 5000 students like you—students representing a wide variety of interests, challenges, academic strengths, and goals. Click here to read some of our Success Stories.

My Approach
“I believe that there is no “one size fits all” approach when it comes to reaching your college goals. The opportunities and process can vary depending on each unique situation. I enjoy being able to explore this great unknown for families and to help them to maximize their chances for success. There is nothing more gratifying to me than seeing families receive scholarships or grants at colleges they believe are great fits for their children.”
Meredith Principe
VICE PRESIDENT
OPERATIONS & COLLEGE COUNSELING
BA, Skidmore College
MA, Boston College
Meredith joined Campus Bound in 2004 after ten years in college admissions and high school counseling. Over the years, she has presented at industry conferences and to students and parents on myriad admissions topics. Meredith finds satisfaction in building a team of professionals who are all focused on helping students and families successfully navigate the college search and application process.
My Approach
“I love working with Campus Bound’s collaborative team members to reduce the stress of the college admissions process. Taking a methodical approach, being informed every step along the way, and knowing they’ve put their best foot forward allows students and families to be enthusiastic about this journey. College admissions should not be an overwhelming chore that lowers ones’ self confidence. I enjoy making this a fun and exciting process for Campus Bound families.”
Mindy Mitchell
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF COLLEGE COUNSELING
BA, Boston College
MA, Boston College
Mindy, a former Director of Admission at Wentworth Institute of Technology, has spent the majority of her career working in various capacities in the fields of college admissions and enrollment management. She has over fifteen years of experience guiding students and families through the college search and application process.
My Approach
“The aspect of my profession I’ve always enjoyed most is working directly with students as they explore their options for college and tackle the challenge of what can be an overwhelmingly competitive application process. I believe that each student has a compelling and unique story to share, and my goal is to help students create college applications that successfully highlight their strengths and showcase their future potential. There is nothing more rewarding than watching students invest themselves in the process and put forth their best effort, whatever the ultimate outcome. As a parent who’s gone through the process personally, I appreciate the stress it can place on families, and I make it a priority to partner with parents as well.”
Jen Forand
Associate Director of College Counseling
BA, University of Massachusetts, Lowell
MA, Lesley University
Since 2011, Jen has guided students and families through the college search and application process. In addition to her work at Campus Bound, Jen has worked as a school counselor in private and public high schools and has supported students with a wide range of abilities, career interests, and backgrounds.
My Approach
“The college search and application process is an opportunity for discovery and self realization. I find it incredibly rewarding to learn about a student’s accomplishments and drive and be a part of such an important life transition. I strive to empower my students to build confidence, appreciate their strengths, understand their goals, and articulate their passions and priorities. With warmth, humor, enthusiasm, and structure, I motivate my students to stay on task while also supporting the questions and concerns of parents. ”
We Treat You Like Family
One of our core values dates back to when this was a home-based business run by Gregg’s mother. Everyone we help with college planning becomes family to us. Your college admission challenges become our challenges and your successes become our successes. The process of searching for a college, applying to college, being accepted to college, and planning for college financially is appropriately described as a roller coaster ride. Campus Bound is there every step of the way.
We feel honored that many of our previous clients let us know about their first semester of college, or even to share news about their lives after college. And, it’s a testament to our caring team of college coaches that many families hire us repeatedly to support each of their distinct children’s college planning journeys as the next son or daughter needs to start planning for college.
Our History
In 2003, flip phones were in, social media didn’t exist, and Gregg was kicking off a new phase of his career in partnership with his mother, Leslie Cohen. Gregg’s mom had a small, personalized college counseling business, which she operated out of her home in Whitman, Massachusetts. He could see her commitment to her students and her thoughtful, holistic approach regardless of her students’ background, academic level, or goals. Gregg could see the financial challenges of college (and tuition was 150% less back then!) and became immersed in that aspect of the college process.
After expanding the business and hiring additional college counselors whose values aligned with the company mission, Gregg’s mom retired. Since that time, the team has expanded to 45 passionate team members and worked hard to meet the demand for our services, adding multiple locations in Eastern Massachusetts and later, pivoting to primarily remote services to meet the interests and needs of our clientele. Recently, driven by his continued passion for the financial side of the college process, Gregg launched College Affordable, a nonprofit organization with a mission of providing education and support to improve access to financial aid advice.
Throughout Campus Bound’s expansion, its core mission and values from when Gregg’s mother started this effort in 1987 have stayed the same. We are a student-focused, personalized small business that guides families methodically through a complicated, stressful process. Campus Bound remains dedicated to providing informed, quality advice in this ever-changing landscape.
