In His Own Words:

My Approach to College Counseling:

“I believe that there is no “one size fits all” approach when it comes to reaching your college goals. The opportunities and process can vary depending on each unique situation. I enjoy being able to explore this great unknown for families and to help them to maximize their chances for success. There is nothing more gratifying to me than seeing families receive scholarships or grants at colleges they believe are great fits for their children.”

Things I love most about the process:

“The college admissions process is such a unique experience for a student…..and parent.   It is an exciting time but there is so much unknown about the process and the road that lies ahead.    The high national rates of students not graduating in 4 years, of transferring, and of significant debt are evidence of the results of being a novice in this complicated world.  It’s very rewarding to be able to demystify the process and help families to take each step in a methodical, thoughtful and effective manner.   When it comes to the challenges around the cost of college, it is rewarding to know that we are helping families to make the decision that is right for them while making sure that there is no stone unturned when it comes to reducing the cost. ”

How I spend my spare time:

“I try to spend as much time as possible with my family, including my two teenage daughters.  Our Campus Bound students have given me years of valuable training in the language of teenagers!    I do my best to get in some golfing, skiing or other outdoor activities when I can between running to their dance competitions and gymnastics meets.”
