Boston University, Bachelor of Science

University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Certificate in College Counseling (in progress)

Guidance Counselor, Westford Academy, Westford, MA
Former Assistant Director, Boston University Health Care Management MBA Program

I have worked in the following areas:

I currently work with a wide range of students with diverse post-secondary interests.  I have advised students through the admissions process for elite/Ivy League colleges, liberal arts colleges, state colleges and many others.  I also work with students who would like to focus on more specific areas such as engineering, medical programs, performing arts, pre-professional programs and student support for learning differences.   I also enjoy working with “undecided” students or students who may be interested in alternative programs such as gap year, internships and vocational studies.

In my previous position as Assistant Director of Boston University’s Health Care Management Program, my work included coordinating the admissions process, academic advising and counseling towards internship placement.

Why I am passionate about college counseling:

The college admission process can be very overwhelming.  I enjoy helping students and families identify schools that will be a good “fit.”  Every student is unique, and it is important to really get to know each student’s individual strengths, needs and interests as part of the college process.   I especially enjoy watching students grow and become more competent and confident as the process continues.

Professional development is also important to me.  I stay current regarding college admission trends through literature reviews and college counselor tours.
