AB in Government, Harvard College
JD, New York University School of Law
After many years of law practice and higher education administration at Harvard and Boston College Law Schools, Judy began advising college and law school applicants nearly 10 years ago.
I have worked with students in the following areas:
I enjoy working with applicants to all types of schools. I have particular expertise assisting students applying to selective colleges, engineering and liberal arts candidates, student athletes, international students, and applicants interested in the BIG 10! I also have an expertise in Jewish life on campus.
Why I am passionate about college counseling:
I work closely with my students to research and identify those schools to which they will apply. In addition, I help my students to prepare effectively for school visits and interviews. I find the most satisfying part of the application process to be working with applicants on writing their essays. Each student has a story to tell that distinguishes him or her, communicates why a particular college is a good fit and demonstrates what the applicant will bring to the entering class, both within the classroom and campus wide. I am passionate about working with my clients to find their voice as they create their message.
Campus Bound office: Needham, and I see students out of my home in Newton
Hobbies/interests: When I am not working, I enjoy cycling, yoga, cooking and my three sons, two of whom I guided through the admissions process in the past few years!
