I have worked with students in the following areas:
While in high school guidance, I have worked with a wide variety of students over the years, from those looking to stay close to home to those looking at schools on the west coast. These students all have unique interests and needs, from backgrounds in music, to athletics, to specific academic major requirements. When I worked with Boston University, I had the opportunity to meet with students to discuss their course selection, life on campus, and academics in college. In addition, I helped them understand what the application review process was really like.
Why I’m passionate about college counseling:
In college admissions, my favorite aspect of the job was sitting down with students and their families to discuss the specifics of their lives and how it could fit in with the culture promoted at the school. As a college counselor, I have the opportunity to do this in every meeting with students. Although the college application process is stressful, I strive to make it as fun and exciting as possible– because it really can be! I find it extremely rewarding when I can see a student through the entire process and watch them get excited about what the next four years of their lives will look like.
