Pennsylvania 

• The state of Pennsylvania has excellent public universities.  Penn State is the flagship public university, but there are twenty other Penn State campuses across the state. The University Park campus enrolls over 35,000 students each year.

• The state is rich with culture and history. The Declaration of Independence was signed in Philadelphia, the Battle of Gettysburg was a crucial event in the Civil War, and millions of tourists flock to Philadelphia each year to see the Liberty Bell and other historic sites.

• There are over 100 colleges and universities in Pennsylvania, ranging from small liberal arts colleges like Dickinson College and Muhlenberg College to large Ivy League schools such as The University of Pennsylvania.

• Pennsylvania has dozens of professional sports teams, and several sports have teams in both Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
